FIELD SALES ENGINEER

Purpose:

The Field Sales Engineer is responsible for increasing sales of Walter products and services in their assigned territory. The Field Sales Engineer accomplishes this by providing opti-mal solutions to our customers using value-added selling techniques that present a full range of products and services that demonstrate Engineering Kompetenz. This position establishes and maintains effective relationships with customers, and internal and exter-nal stakeholders to effectively meet customer needs.

Main Responsibilities:

Walter Business & Technology

1.The ability to initiate and steer the purposeful interaction with customers, including successful identification and management of accounts using a structured approach to territory management.

2.The ability to support customers in their productivity increase.

3.The ability to advise customers when it comes to Product & Services.

4.The ability to use relevant Walter Software & office support tools.

5.The ability to establish and maintain healthy working relations and partnership with key stakeholders.

6.The ability to utilize assigned resources to deliver results.

7.Ability to provide customer-tailored service.

8.The ability to work effectively as part of a team, actively contributing to accomplish-ing organizational goals.

12.The ability to give effective presentations in front of diverse audiences.

Education

University Degree in engineering, advanced technical degree, or experience yielding equivalent knowledge in cutting tool technology

Experience

1.Several years of sales experience with industrial cutting tools where new business development is the primary focus OR several years of manufacturing experience and ability to sell in end-user and channel sales model

2.Experience in a manufacturing or distribution marketplace.

3.Experience in working independently from a home office or virtual office environment and traveling a significant amount of time.
