CNC MACHINIST

Key Performance Areas

Set-up and/or operate various semi-complex to complex grinding equipment, this includes machinery for centerless grinding, cylindrical grinding, cut-off, CNC tool grinders, measuring equipment and various other equipment used in the manufacturing process of inserts. The requirement is to setup/operate all equipment needed to produce a Solid Carbide Insert according to print and standard operating procedures.

Additionally, the CNC Machinist will:

  • Input quality, SPC, production and other required data into appropriate company information systems.
  • Perform primary maintenance on assigned equipment.
  • Assist maintenance group in performing major repairs as required.
  • Write programs for NC/CNC controlled grinders.
  • Perform each phase of the operation in full compliance with all company, state, and/or federal safety and environmental regulations.
  • Always maintain orderliness and cleanliness of assigned area(s) and observe company policies.
  • Responsible for achieving established cycle time efficiencies and machine utilization.
  • Perform other tasks assigned by Manager.

Your Profile

  • Experience working with CNC machines in a mechanical or process industry preferred.
  • High School Diploma.

Shift

3rd: 11:00pm to 7:15am (Train on 1st shift)
