Your Role
- Provide expertise in US trade compliance laws and regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), Export Administration Regulations (EAR), and Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) regulations.
- Oversee the design and implementation of the US trade compliance program, including restricted and end-use/user screening, export jurisdiction and classification determination, authorization analysis and management, recordkeeping, and procedures and work instructions.
- Identify compliance risks and manage the life cycle of complex cross-functional compliance programs.
- Partner with internal and external stakeholders to identify program and regulatory developments and provide updates to management regarding compliance initiatives impacting company business.
- Report all potential compliance concerns consistent with company requirements and assist with internal investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation, as required.
- Measure program effectiveness through self-assessments, validation, and audits.
- Engage all levels across the organization through a function-specific training and communications program.
- Advise on US trade compliance extraterritorial requirements.
- Support the implementation of the Sandvik compliance program, including anti-bribery, competition law, and data privacy program requirements.
About you
- A law degree.
- 5-10 years of professional experience working with international trade law, including the export controls programs required by BIS, OFAC, and other US agencies.
- Experience from work in a global environment with stakeholder management.
- Effectively drives improvements in a customer-centric way.

Location
Flexible within the United States, preferably on east coast time.
