Sandvik Rock Processing Solutions (SRP), a business area within Sandvik Group, holds a world-leading market position, delivering cutting edge products and solutions to customers around the globe.

To strengthen our innovative team, we’re now looking for a Design Engineer-Engineering (Crusher & Screen) to join us. This is an Individual contributor role.

About the job

The Design Engineer-Engineering position is responsible for the provision of mechanical models and drawings, in accordance with procedures and standards, to allow purchasing, manufacturing and assembly of such components.

Also required to Perform the below job-

Produce high quality CAD models and drawings from supplied information using Inventor, AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
Analyze design problems, develop solutions, and actively make decisions.
Understand manufacturing processes and look for opportunities to simplify design for efficient fabrication.
Work collaboratively with stakeholders to assist in ensuring all design and drawing requirements are addressed. Conduct design reviews and document actions.
Work to project time and deadline constraints.
Support team and other stakeholders whenever needed.
Communicate regularly with stakeholders to inform task progress and constraint compliance.
Execute work in accordance with company and department policies and procedures and the VIB Drawing Standard
Work in SAP/Local ERP system with material numbers, document revisions, and timesheets.
Participate in personal goal/development setting and commit to achieving agreed objectives.
Other duties as requested by Management

Your profile

Education / Experience

Bachelors / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering

5-10 years' experience in Engineering / with steel fabrication and heavy industry equipment design, modelling, and drawing, preferably with experience in a workshop environment.

Experience design vibrating Equipment is advantageous.

Other Competencies Required

Sound knowledge of design and engineering principles and best practices.
Proficiency using CAD packages-AutoCAD / Autodesk Inventor / Solid Works preferred.
Hands on experience in Team Center/ Vault PLM.
Strong customer focus.
Good interpersonal, Strong verbal and written communication skills
Innovative & Proactive approach and a good team player. Demonstrated ability to meet task time limits and deadlines.
Fabrication, machining, and welding knowledge and experience advantageous
Experience using ERP systems, preferably SAP.
Knowledge on EHS Standards
